Tom Wald

Mr. Thomas R. Wald, CFA, MBA, is a Chief Investment Officer at Transamerica Asset Management, Inc. He has over 25 years of investment management experience and has managed large mutual fund portfolios and separate accounts. As a member of the senior management team, he heads Transamerica’s thought leadership efforts and provides perspectives to advisors, clients, the media, and general public. He writes and publishes Transamerica’s Market Outlook and other relevant commentary.

He also heads Transamerica’s mutual fund sub-adviser selection and monitoring process, as well as overall product management. Mr. Wald was previously employed as a Vice President & Client Portfolio Manager by Curian Capital LLC, a Portfolio Manager by Tactical Allocation Group LLC, a Senior Portfolio Manager by Munder Capital Management, and a Vice President by INVESCO Institutional (N.A.), Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Tulane University, and an MBA in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
