Executive Vice President, Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Intech®

Vassilios Papathanakos is Executive Vice President, Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Intech^®, a position he has held since 2012. Before this, he was director of research. Vassilios is jointly responsible, with Dr. Adrian Banner, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer, for the day-to-day implementation of the investment process and trading operations. Vassilios and Adrian have worked together during the past few years to implement the investment process and research new products and enhancements to the firm’s process. They jointly manage Intech’s Investment Team. Since joining Intech in 2006, Vassilios has presented at a number of academic and professional conferences on the market capital and trading structure, as well as portfolio construction and analysis. He has also authored and collaborated on a number of academic and popularised papers on these topics.

Vassilios earned his BSc degrees in physics from the University of Ioannina and his doctorate in physics from Princeton University. He has 18 years of financial industry experience.
