Glossary:

Hype cycle: developed by the advisory and information technology firm Gartner, it is a graphical representation of the maturity, adoption and social application phases of emerging technologies.

DRAM: Dynamic Random Access Memory is a low-cost and high-capacity memory used in digital electronics, including the main memory in computers.
Moore’s Law: coined in 1965 by Intel co-founder Gordon E. Moore, it is the ability to roughly double the number of transistors that can fit onto a chip (aka integrated circuit) every two years.
