Independent Non-Executive Director

Edward Garden has been a Non-Executive Director of Janus Henderson since February 2022. Edward is currently a member of the Compensation Committee and Nominating and Governance Committee.

Edward has been Chief Investment Officer and a Founding Partner of Trian since November 2005 and is also currently a director of General Electric Company, where he is a member of the Management Development & Compensation Committee. Edward previously served as a director of The Wendy’s Company from December 2004 to December 2015, Family Dollar Stores, Inc. from September 2011 to July 2015, Pentair plc from May 2016 to April 2018, The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation from December 2014 to June 2019, Legg Mason, Inc. from May 2019 to July 2020 and Invesco Ltd. from November 2020 to February 2022. In October 2014, he was named to CNBC’s Next List, composed of 100 next generation trailblazers expected to change the face of business over the next 25 years. Previously, Edward served as Vice Chairman and a director of Triarc Companies, Inc., where he was also head of Corporate Development. Prior to joining Triarc, Edward was a Managing Director of Credit Suisse First Boston, where he served as a senior investment banker and BT Alex Brown, where he was Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets. Edward received a BA from Harvard College and is the son-in-law of Nelson Peltz, a fellow Non-Executive Director of Janus Henderson.
