Wayne Fitzgibbon

Wayne has been a senior investment consultant in Mercer’s investments business for nearly 10 years. He is lead investment adviser to a range of UK defined benefit pension clients with liabilities of £5bn+. He is Chair of the Investment Ideas Group and is involved in producing intellectual capital on financial markets, risk management (including LDI) and alternative approaches to asset allocation. His clients are varied, with diverse beliefs and different funding challenges.

Wayne was previously Global Head of Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities at Macquarie Investment Management with offices in Sydney, London, Seoul and Los Angeles. He has managed global fixed income portfolios, led tactical asset allocation teams, and worked as a macroeconomist, specialising in monetary theory and policy.
