Emma Lawson
Emma Lawson is a Fixed Income Strategist – Macroeconomics on the Australian Fixed Interest Team at Janus Henderson Investors, a position she has held since 2023. She is responsible for analysis of the economic backdrop and setting the team’s rate outlook on central bank policy as well as contributing to the top-down and interest rate strategies. Prior to joining the firm, she was an economist at Treasury Corporation of Victoria from 2019. Before that, she was a currency overlay director at National Australia Bank from 2015. She served as a senior macroeconomic strategist (with a focus on markets including currency) at NAB from 2011, Morgan Stanley from 2009, and Merrill Lynch from 2004. Emma worked as an economic analyst at Financial Services Authority from 2003 and before that, she held economist roles with Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Asset Management between 1999 and 2003. She began her career as an analyst at Towers Perrin in 1997.
Emma received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Adelaide. She has 27 years of financial industry experience.
