John King

John King is an Associate Portfolio Manager on the Diversified Alternatives Team at Janus Henderson Investors, a position he has held since 2024. Prior to joining the firm, he was a fund manager at Liontrust Asset Management (formerly Majedie Asset Management) from 2019. Before that, he was a fund manager and analyst at AXA Investment Managers from 2016. Earlier in his career, he held equity sales roles at Singer Capital Markets from 2011 to 2013, and UBS from 2013 to 2015. He began his career in the graduate programme, advisory – senior consultant in risk and internal audit, at Ernst & Young from 2005 to 2010.

John earned a BA degree (Hons) in economics and management from the University of Leeds. He holds the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing and is an ACCA qualified accountant. He has 19 of financial industry experience.
