At Janus Henderson, we seek to ensure our funds are meeting their objectives and the expectations of investors. We want to be confident that they are delivering value. To this end, our fourth annual Value Assessment Report is available at the link below.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the UK’s financial services regulator, requires all fund management groups to perform a detailed assessment of whether funds are providing value to investors, and publish an annual statement summarising the outcome of this process, known as the Value Assessment. Janus Henderson also aims to ensure that the Value Assessment process incorporates and meets all requirements of the new FCA Consumer Duty with regard to assessment of price and value.
Our report summarises the period to 31 December 2023 and is published by the Board of Janus Henderson Fund Management UK Limited, as the Authorised Fund Manager, the body primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the funds considered in this Value Assessment.
The Value Assessment considers a minimum of seven criteria set by the FCA. While investment performance and quality of service are clearly important factors, the costs and charges paid by investors are also key considerations. At Janus Henderson, ensuring value is delivered to investors has always been central to our philosophy. Therefore the Value Assessment is an extension of the existing ongoing monitoring processes that provide oversight of how our funds are managed.
