James Maxwell
James Maxwell is Head of EMEA Credit Research at Janus Henderson Investors, a position he has held since 2023. James joined Henderson in 2015 as a credit analyst. Prior to this, he spent 15 years at Deutsche Bank Global Markets. As a managing director, he held a number of senior roles, including head of European credit research and, most recently, head of European credit trading strategy. While there, he managed a team of corporate and financial analysts generating and marketing investment-grade and high-yield trade ideas within the credit trading business. James also had credit analyst positions at BNP Paribas and Equitable Life Assurance Society and was a manager in corporate banking for Hill Samuel Merchant Bank. He started his career in the accelerated training programme at Barclays Bank.
James is a Securities and Financial Derivatives representative and has completed the foundation and certificate stages of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He has 40 years of financial industry experience.
