SINGAPORE— Janus Henderson Investors (JHI) is pleased to announce the hire of San Lo John as Director, Intermediary Sales, in a newly-created role.
The new role sees San leveraging almost three decades of financial markets experience to service clients and develop new business opportunities for JHI in Asia, among other responsibilities. His first day at Janus Henderson was Monday, 24 June 2024 and he reports to the firm’s Head of Intermediary Sales, Asia ex Japan, Alex Ng.
San’s background means he will bring an invaluable insight into JHI’s clients’ needs in Asia. He joins from Citibank Wealth Management Singapore where he was most recently Head of Citigold Investment Consultants, a role he had held since 2018. San was a Citigold portfolio counselor from 2015 to 2018. While at Citi, San advised clients on investment strategy and portfolio construction, while leading a team of 16 investment consultants supporting more than 150 relationships managers.
A financial markets veteran, San also brings investment management experience. He managed an Asia equity systematic bottom-up strategy for independent Swiss asset manager Crossinvest Asia from 2009 to 2015, a systematic global equity portfolio for Asia family office, Wuthelam, from 2007 to 2009, and was portfolio analyst for Alcor Capital, an Asia multi-style equity hedge fund.
San started his career in corporate treasury in Australia and New Zealand’s largest brewer, Lion Nathan, as Treasury Manager.
