DENVER–September 17, 2024—Janus Henderson Group (NYSE: JHG), has announced that Alex Veroude will be joining the firm as the Global Head of Fixed Income on January 2, 2025. Alex brings 27 years of industry experience and joins Janus Henderson from Insight Investment, where he was CIO, Fixed Income.
Alex will be based in New York City with regular travel to regional Janus Henderson offices and report to CEO, Ali Dibadj. He will oversee all global Fixed Income products and teams at the firm. Alex brings 27 years of industry experience, and expertise in a wide variety of Fixed Income markets, including asset-liability management, credit, and core fixed income, along with a track record of dedicated client service.
His global background in building Fixed Income franchises in both the UK and the US in addition to his significant institutional background and knowledge base align with the firm’s strategic priorities. In his prior role, Alex oversaw $253 billion in Fixed Income AUM, globally, as of June 30, 2024. His experience in the investment industry, commitment to client needs, and focus on client outcomes make him a natural choice for the Global Head of Fixed Income role.
After 41 years in the financial industry and seven years at the firm as Global Head of Fixed Income, Jim Cielinski has decided to retire from the asset management industry, effective April 2, 2025.
Jim will work closely with Alex after he joins in January to ensure a seamless and effective transition. Neither Jim nor Alex manages any investment portfolios and as such, the firm expects no disruption to clients.

Some of Jim’s most notable accomplishments during his tenure include uniting and expanding the global Fixed Income team across regions, deepening collaboration with the equity and multi-asset teams, creating and empowering the leadership team within Fixed Income, and investing in strategic areas of the Fixed Income business.
As a result of the strong leadership handover process with Jim and his preplanned transition, Alex’s breadth and depth of experience, and the strong bench of leadership within the Fixed Income team, the firm fully expects these changes to be a natural evolution with no disruption to clients. Jim has been working closely with the Fixed Income portfolio managers to ensure the team is well positioned for this transition.
There will be no changes to any Fixed Income funds or their portfolio managers, investment objectives, philosophy, or scope as a result of this announcement.
